Third-party attestation related to a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) conveying formal demonstration of its competence to carry out specific conformity assessment tasks.
Products and services are evaluated against a standard code of practice by CABs. They check that products and services are safe for use.
Accreditation is the independent evaluation of these CAB’s against recognized standards to ensure their, integrity, impartiality, competence. CABs are evaluated by Accreditation Bodies against international standards agreed by their peers.
